| ST-38 linear polarizer are high quality filters best suited for stereoscopic projection systems. All requirements of modern projection systems are satisfied by the AR- coated, optical glass laminated to the polarizing material. High contrast and transmission of these polarizers make them an excellent solution to separate the two channels of light for best 3D rendering without “ghosting effect” known to lesser quality materials. ST-38 is specifically designed for high temperature applications such as the very bright professional projection systems.

ST-38 circular polarizer are based on the linear polarizers with an additional quarter wave retarders to create a circular path in either the right or left hand directions. Standard retarders only provide this effect in limited wavelength range. However, we use broadband retarders which provide a full spectrum of effect. This is again important to better separate two channels of light and prevent the “ghosting effect” when some of the light from the other channel is still passing through the lens. The polarizer is laminated between two AR coated, optical glass.
